Ethnic ID

This is our first home, and choosing Ethnic for our renovation was truly the right decision. As first-time homeowners, we had little experience or knowledge of the renovation process and what to expect. The Ethnic team was very professional and patient in listening to our needs, and they provided thoughtful recommendations and advice that worked well within our renovation budget. Throughout the renovation, we encountered a few challenges and unexpected issues. Each time, Ethnic worked their “magic” to resolve the problems and helped us achieve the results we were hoping for. Nick always listened to our crazy ideas and he helped us analysed what can work and what works better. It’s amazing when you found a designer that who is on the same page with you and have a creativeness design sense! We are very pleased with the final outcome and the quality of workmanship delivered. Even after one year, the materials and furniture surfaces are still in excellent condition. We genuinely love our new home—it is warm, comfortable, and a joy to live in. We truly appreciate the effort and dedication of the Ethnic team, Nick and Wai Kean. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for creating such a wonderful home for us.

Working with Ethnic was an absolute masterclass in interior design. Transforming a 900 sq. ft. condo into a serene Muji-inspired sanctuary is no small feat, but their meticulousness and eye for detail made it look effortless. They treated every corner like a piece of artwork, ensuring the flow of the space felt natural and expansive. If you’re looking for someone who values precision and understands the true 'art' of living, Ethnic ID is the one.

Our overall experience with Ethnic ID throughout our home renovation journey has been fantastic — we would definitely give them a 10/10! As we were staying remotely during the renovation, we were initially quite concerned about how things would turn out. However, thanks to Nick and Bernice, who are both highly experienced, responsive, and supportive, we were able to go through the entire renovation process with minimal worries. Before starting the renovation, we engaged with a few ID firms, and Ethnic ID immediately caught our attention. What stood out to us was that their design intent was not simply about making the home look good, but also about solving our problems and meeting our practical needs. They gave us the confidence that they were good problem solvers who could proactively propose constructive alternatives from a design perspective when ad-hoc issues arose, rather than simply waiting for our input or instructions. This was especially important to us as we were based remotely and did not have the luxury of visiting the site frequently. During the design phase, Nick and Bernice provided excellent guidance and practical use cases, which greatly helped us narrow down the options that best suited our needs. What we appreciated most was their openness to ideas and changes, their meticulous explanations of the design intent, and their willingness to provide clear reasoning behind the itemised quotations whenever we had questions. One thing I particularly appreciated was that they even provide recommendation for loose furnitures, the team compiled all the loose furnitures that they included 3D drawings and also provided alternative options for us to purchase if we want to! The execution phase was where we were most worried, as we had a very tight timeline of only 2.5 months to complete the renovation because we wanted to move in before CNY. However, the team did a fantastic job of completing the renovation on time and, most importantly, with good quality. The team proactively shared weekly progress updates with us, including photos. Whenever an issue arose, they brought it to our attention immediately and provided multiple possible solutions for us to consider. This greatly expedited our decision-making and gave us peace of mind about the progress, even though we were not physically there. A special thanks to Bernice and Nick for also going the extra mile to help us purchase loose furniture locally when needed, as well as helping to pick up, inspect, and install furniture that we purchased online. This level of support was truly invaluable for us. We thought the execution phase was excellent, but the after-sales service was equally impressive. Bernice and the team followed up closely on our feedback and made sure all outstanding items were properly addressed and followed through to completion. Overall, it has been a very enjoyable and worry-free renovation experience, and we are really glad that we chose Ethnic ID as our interior designer. Thank you, Nick, Bernice, and the entire Ethnic ID team, for making our renovation journey such a pleasant one! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From planning to execution, he provided many creative ideas while still making sure the design remained practical for daily living. What we appreciate most is that the design is not only beautiful when newly completed, but it also remains functional, comfortable, and timeless even after staying in the house for several years. The materials, layout planning, and workmanship have proven to be durable and lasting over time. Nick was also patient in understanding our needs and lifestyle, giving useful suggestions that truly improved the overall living experience. Every space was carefully designed to maximize functionality while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic. Until today, many of our friends and visitors are still impressed and amazed by the overall design, ambience, and quality of the renovation whenever they visit our home. We are very satisfied with the result and would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for a dependable and professional interior designer.
