GrovDesign - despite being a young organisation, is well anchored by the owner, Cherry herself. We are not based in Penang and hence working remotely presents different challenges such as a potential to miscommunicate. Cherry is a warm, friendly and capable professional. She takes time and effort to ensure we understood one another's requirements and always establish the understanding at the end of each meeting/discussion. Lead designer, Lee, ever so patient and kind was key to seeing to the running of the project and sorted out the kinks if any. Their use of IT tools - like Buildertrend and her skills with design apps facilitate good capture of what we meant from 2D-3D designs and helped both parties grasp key essentials. Their team also worked very well together and we get the assured sense that customer satisfaction is an important deliverable. Where difficulties arise, Cherry always takes the time to understand the disconnects and her calm and rational personality helps drive a fruitful outcome without either party putting blame on the other. Beyond achieving a chic and functional design, that they do not shirk from problems, stood out for us as a company you can trust. The 2-way collaboration was what pinned down the successful results we achieved in our apartment - their chic and elegant , modern classic design that we are happy with. One of the best teams I have worked with. My house renovations were designed and executed in best professional manner possible. Owners and their teams give personal time in every step to ensure all going well. With constructions / renovations, things NEVER go as planned which can be very frustrating but having Cherry and the team, made all the processes very smooth. From transfer from my old property to the new one, transition was made as smooth as possible keeping in mind we had a newborn to take care of. Hickups were dealt and taken care of gently. I might have lost my cool couple of times but they always reamined humble and calm. I am not an easy person to please and I must say Grov Design Studios is one team I am going to work back with again.

Spent some time online meeting with ID, and she was the one saying will send the quotation to us by next week. Yet, no news & no follow up after the meeting, not even a text telling us the delay. When we followed up after 2 weeks, she told us they were little packed after the reopening and the quotation is not done, but will be sending the quotation in next few days. That was our last conversation over WhatsApp. Okay then again she did not do what she promised and another 2 weeks we waited, not even a text from you. Both me and my partner don't even bother to check with her anymore. Not that we don't want to be understanding, but I think you should work better on managing customers' expectation. Everyone is busy. I think firstly, do suggest a realistic timeline. Inform your customer earlier when you couldn't deliver on time instead of putting them hanging and waiting. Secondly, it was a really bad impression that we as customer are the one who need to follow up with you. We were keen, liked your design and you were the only ID we spoke to, yet after a month of waiting we decided to check on other ID. Disappointed on this. I'm not sure how you actually work on your customer database, how come you can forget to get back to us? Or you actually remember us by any chance, but choose not to contact us since you're already late. Overall experience - Unprofessional.
