My experience with HIN Construction was extremely frustrating and disappointing. To me, they don't deserve even 1 star. This was supposed to be an initial fence base and patio deck job estimated at 4 days, but it dragged on for weeks with repeated delays, no-shows, poor coordination, and very difficult communication. The workmanship was a serious problem on both the patio slab and the fence base. It's quite obvious that the workers don't know what they're doing. I once asked the PIC why there're so many problems, he laughed and said it's because the workers sent here are not specialised in the works required. I was so speechless, really. For the patio slab, the workers actually started pouring concrete without the BRC mesh as quoted, and we only caught it because we checked the work ourselves. The remedy they proposed after that was also questionable, and the slab still ended up being done badly, with issues in how the mesh and layers were handled. In the end, the slab looked sandy and weak, chipped easily, and even the PIC later admitted it had been done the wrong way and needed to be hacked and redone. Even after admitting it needed to be redone, nothing meaningful happened despite our countless follow-ups (unable to reach them at all, even till now). The fence base was just as bad. It's uneven, not level, looked crooked, and the surface was very rough and porous. The surface was so rough that I honestly couldn't imagine how the fence installation would even proceed properly. The later touch-up work still caused cracking and bumps on the surface. The workers were so surprised when I asked when will they touch up/plastering the base. Like, you want a concrete base, you have it now (regardless of the quality), why still need plastering? It's very obvious that the finish was poor, and we kept having to raise basic issues ourselves instead of them getting things right from the start. What makes this even worse is the situation we are left in now: deposit paid, work still not properly completed, and nobody is responding to us at all. We kept getting promises that they would come back, fix things, or update us, but those promises kept getting pushed back and then ignored. My honest warning to anyone thinking of engaging them: don't expect a professional team that will properly guide or advise you throughout the process. Based on my experience, if they sense that you're not familiar with construction work or technical details, they're more likely to take advantage of that instead of properly guiding you and completing the job professionally. It felt like they relied on the assumption that customers would not notice poor workmanship or questionable practices. Be prepared to do lots of background study, monitor the work very closely, question everything, and chase constantly for updates (even so, probably won't get any response either). If we had not paid attention, major issues like the missing BRC mesh could have gone unnoticed. Based on our experience, I would not recommend them at all.

My father-in-law home suddenly had this tiles popping. We chance upon Hin Group Construction on the website and decided to give them a try. The process was pretty smooth, it took them all in 3 days from hacking to tiles finished and clean up the place and handover. I would say it gives us a peace of mind. I would strongly recommend Hin Group Construction if you want a reliable contractor. Overall they did a good job for us!

*I had an earlier 5 star review which I deleted* I won't really come back to them for waterproofing, I had commissioned them a few years ago to waterproof my house (which took them forever to even start and came with its own issues though their admin response was excellent) but 5 years later when my tenant moved out after complaining continued water leaking issue, I tried contacting the contractor Mr William who promised a follow-up but than no news or contact. This is despite my 10 year warranty promise. I hired a separate contractor who pointed out that despite my than slightly higher price, a lot of work was not done or I wasn't advised properly, they did not do a complete job as in not covering all points of the roof, a good portion was already peeling off the walls and the drainage was not done properly (as in no additional pipes were laid and drain holes not enlarged) . Now I stuck with paying even more to remove the old proofing and rectify all the work.

Renovation works for our small bathroom to a medium size bathroom 8.5 x 11 feet with bathtub size 180cm, bigger wash basin, bigger wc, large size glass sliding shower door Completed with superb workmanship within 3 weeks. All the wall building, electrical work, plumbing, tiling, spc floor outside the bathroom area, plaster ceiling job and fixing other bathroom accesories was well done. The time management of the workers are great. They are friendly and can be trusted. Special thank you goes to mr derrick for job well done and also praised for all the hin group construction worker for all the hardwork . Will definately working together again in the future💐
