I am very disappointed with the handling of my solar installation application. My solar system was installed about 3 months ago, but until today I have still not received SEDA approval. Initially, your representative informed me that the NEM 3.0 application was no longer available and suggested switching my application to the ATAP programme. I was assured that the process could be completed within approximately one month, and I agreed to proceed accordingly. However, more than one month has passed since the change, and I have not received any update on the application status. Despite my patience, there appears to be a lack of communication and transparency regarding the progress of my case. I am also unable to find any proper complaint or escalation channel on your website. As a customer, this experience has been very frustrating. Update on 5/6/2026: I would like to acknowledge that the PIC responded promptly after my review and took the time to explain the situation. I appreciate the professional handling of my concern. I have accepted their apology and their commitment to resolve the approval issue within one month. Hopefully, the process can now move forward smoothly. I will provide a further update once the matter is fully resolved. Thank you for the prompt follow-up.

I chose SOLS Energy because I trusted their recommendation to use the SOLS Life Pro inverter. During the sales consultation, they highlighted benefits such as free insurance, free relocation, fire safety features, and performance booster over the other brand that they offered. However, they never mentioned a major limitation—that the SOLS Life Pro inverter is not future-proof as it does not support battery energy storage. When I recently enquired about installing a battery, I was surprised to learn that I would need to replace my existing inverter with a new hybrid inverter at my own expense. Had this been clearly explained during the consultation, I would have chosen a hybrid inverter from the start and avoided this unnecessary cost. I'm disappointed that such a critical limitation was never disclosed before I made my decision. Customers should be informed of both the advantages and disadvantages of the products being recommended, especially when those limitations can affect future upgrades and result in significant additional costs. I hope SOLS Energy improves its transparency during the sales process so customers can make informed, future-proof decisions instead of discovering important limitations only after the system has been installed.

I would like to share the experience that I had with SOLS. After having installed the solar panels for more than a year, I started to experience what I thought were glitches in the system. Typically after the system was installed and stabilised, I was charged very low rates for the period following the installation. Over the last month and a half, my electricity bill rose relatively sharply. I also had a number of power trips. After these incidents, I decided to check with SOLS to see if this could be caused by some technical fault with my setup. Upon enquiry, I was then requested to provide my TNB bills for the last 6 months. In less than a week, I was given a detail analysis of my setup. My usage increased from March to May probably due to increased consumption from use of air conditioner because of the hotter weather. Then there was the adjusted fuel charge that partly accounted for the increased charge. There were more cloudy days during the period in question which accounted for the lower generation of power. Bottom line and a comfort to me is that the system is functioning well. The response from the team at SOLS is excellent. I'd recommend them anytime. Their good work is very much appreciated.
