We engaged Tao Design (“the team”) for end to end interior design and built as we believed this will give a better collaboration between designer and builder, taking into consideration our needs and ensuring quality materials and sound solution for aesthetic, practical and functionality. We are indeed very pleased with end results with the following touch points. Professional Right from the start, we found the team professional in their line of business. They started off with a questionnaire to understand my family demographic and hence, design accordingly. During the “build stage”, the team personally performed a test, using a wheelchair to test accessibility to rooms and toilets and its turning radius in tight aisles. This will ensure elders in my family can adapt to wheelchair when the need arises. The team also provided a weekly report on the progress of the work done, keeping us well updated. Reliability We could rely on the team to coordinate with suppliers that were independently engaged by us, for goods received and installation. As the team is professional and well focus on this project plus the provision of weekly progress report, there is little on-site supervision on our side. Quality We are very pleased with the quality of work in the following areas: a) carpentry b) tiling c) painting. The carpentry work is superb both to touch and feel and aesthetically. The team is very considerate as they choose thick wood for our kitchen cabinets to hold our precious chinaware. The tiler has done a wonderful job in tiling; pleasing to eyes, feel and touch. Grouting is kept at minimal and is consistent. Painter is very skilled and conscientious in his work. Deliberate in his work, to ensure painting is consistent. After contract service We experienced quick turnaround time for our requests or defects noted after handover of the project to us, a point that is very important to us as it show the team’s commitment to the whole project. We also noted senior management staff’s dedication from solutions to supervision to bring about satisfactory completion of defects.
